Wandiligong Nut Festival was established in May 2001.

It was the inspiration of three local women who envisaged the festival as uniting this small, isolated rural community around the theme of fun, laughter, celebration of the nut harvest and local culinary, artistic and performing talents.

Year after year, this little local festival grew and became a traditional celebration of the Autumn harvest time in the Alpine area of Victoria.

It's now an annual event to celebrate the end of the nut harvest in the valley of Wandiligong, in particular the chestnut, walnut and hazelnut harvests which are unique to our area. It brings together local growers, producers and makers with the local community and tourists in a day long festival. Its a relaxed family friendly festival with markets stalls selling hot food, local produce, hand crafted items as well as wine and beer from local producers. There is live music throughout the day, chestnut roasting, walnut cracking, children's entertainments and other demonstrations. The festival also provides fundraising opportunities for local community groups and organisations such as the Wandiligong Primary School, Bright Lions Clubs, Bright Men's Shed and the Vehicle Preservation Society.

We hope that you will enjoy the 2022 Wandiligong Nut Festival with us, on the Saturday, 23 April 2022, from 9am.
